Anyone who has experienced the walk along the Goulburn River or picnicked
under soaring sandstone cliffs at ‘The Drip’ can vouch for
the natural beauty and soul of this special place.
Fed
from nearby springs, a delicate curtain of dripping water gently falls
from the over arching cliffs, weeping bottlebrush and ferns.
Ground
movements initiated by the Moolarben underground mine threatens these
fragile cliffs and culturally significant Aboriginal sites. The mining
process is likely to intercept groundwater, and destroy aquifers that
are the life blood of this river system.
